The Longines Hong Kong Masters (LHKM) is Asia’s first international show jumping event and only five star accredited (CSI 5*) indoor show jumping event in Asia on the equestrian calendar. Co-organized by the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation, the Longines Hong Kong Masters, has received for the second year, the prestigious M Mark Status by Hong Kong’s Major Sports Event Committee. The event, which takes place over 3 days, comprises of 6 competitions where the world’s top elite riders and their horses will compete for a prize of USD 1 million (approx. HKD 7.8 million).
The Longines Hong Kong Masters is more than just a sports competition; it is Asia’s first sports meet social event that combines spectacular sporting action, glamorous entertainment and show.
HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana graciously presides over the BMW-B.GRIMM Thai Polo Open 2014 on Saturday 25th January 2014. This annual polo tournament is the 11th Thai Polo Open which features five Asian top teams from Asian league players including Rainhill, 9 Dragons, Axus, Kotasas Ibil and Thai Polo. The proceeds from the event will go to Chitrlada Vocational School undeer the patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to help with education of disadvantaged people in rural areas. At the end of the day, Thai Polo team wins the final match over the Kotasas Ibil at 8-6.
This year, Thai Polo & Equestrian Club also hosts the very brand new event BMW-B.GRIMM Show Jumping Invitational Competition right before the Thai Polo Open 2014, featuring 13 Top Thai riders to compete for the highest prize money of over 200,000 Baht! At last, the winning title goes to the up and coming Thai rider Nattaporn "Plai" Triratanachat and Kalindra who is the only clear round in the field and wins 100,000 baht grand prize!! The 2nd place goes to Dhewin Manathanya with 60,000 baht and 3rd to Chutikarn Puangthong with 40,000 baht.
