Mr. Harald Link, the major equestrian supporter, polo patron and merely another horse lover, has been re-elected as President of Thailand Equestrian Federation (TEF) for the 2nd consecutive term on Monday 6 February at the Federation's General Assembly. Mr. Link is currently a Managing Partner of B.Grimm Group -- one of the oldest (134th Anniversary in 2012) and largest industrial group in Thailand-- and is positioned as the TEF President since 2010.
Earlier in 2007, Mr. Link entered the Thailand equestrianism and became one of the major supporter of Thailand's equestrian industry. With the true passion in building up Thai riders and local equestrian events to meet world class standards, Mr. Link developed his own land at Thai Polo & Equestrian Club to facilitate equestrian sports in particular i.e. competition arena, stables and riders' facilities, and began his involvement with this sports by providing the arena and club facilities for the equestrian events at the 24th SEA Games in Pattaya. Apart from competition arena, Mr. Link also ran as Thailand Team Manager and there the Thai team won 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 bronzes, and another Thai superstar 'Nina Lamsam Ligon' was born.

Since then Mr. Link has immensely involved with Thai equestrian events by sponsoring many local and international ones. In mid 2010, after Mr. Link was selected as TEF President, he continued the vision of former TEF president Gen. Trairong Indradat and brought in cooperations from various partners, club members, riders which resulted in major improvements. In the year end of 2010, the Thai Federation sent riders to compete in Guangzhou Asian Games and there Thailand team won silver medal.

In 2011, with the extension of TEF policy from early years, Thai officials and riders received various supports in professional education and competitions abroad. More international cooperations (with FEI and other federations) have been implemented. And last but not least, in the 26th SEA Games in Indonesia, Thai national team which half of the group consisting of newly experience, young talented riders were selected to represent Thailand and finally they won double golds, double silvers, and a bronze medal for our country.

At present, Thailand team in USA is on the verge to qualify for the Olympics and with full & continuous supports from TEF and Mr. Link since the very beginning, Nina Lamsam Ligon currently met the Olympic qualification with her 4 top horses for London 2012.
With TEF running under Mr. Link's presidency, we are very much looking forward to many more upcoming developments and the more brighter future of Thailand equestrianism in the next two years.
