หลังจากโด่งดังทั่วโลกจาก Totilas แล้ว นักกีฬาเดรสซาจชาวดัทช์ "Edward Gal" ก็ยังเนื้อหอมไม่เลิก ล่าสุดเมื่อต้นเดือนกพ. เค้าได้เซ็นสัญญากับเจ้าพ่อ "ปืนพก" Gaston Glock ชาวออสเตรีย (เจ้าของปืน "กล็อก" ปืนพกยี่ห้อดังของโลก) ร่วมกับเพื่อนร่วมชาติชาวดัทช์อีกสองคน คือ Hans Peter Minderhoud และ Nicole Werner โดยเนื้อความของสัญญามีระยะเวลาถึง 10 ปีและเน้นเรื่องการพัฒนาวงการขี่ม้าที่ Austria ล้วนๆ รวมไปถึงการสร้างศูนย์ขี่ม้า Glock Horse Performance Center แห่งใหม่ในเนเธอแลนด์ด้วย นอกจากนี้ Edward Gal ยังได้ม้าใหม่วัย 11 ขวบมาขี่อีก โดยม้ามีชื่อว่า Glock's Ullrich (ชื่อเดิม DUPP Undercover; Sire by Ferro)
ก่อนหน้านี้ เมื่อต้นเดือนมกราคม คอกม้าดังของเดนมาร์กอย่าง Blue Hors ก็เพิ่งส่งม้า Blue Hors Romanov (Rohdiamant x Grundstein II) มาให้ Edward Gal ฝึกด้วยอีกตัว หลังจากที่หัวหน้าคนขี่ที่คอก Blue Hors ถูกไล่ออกไป
ทำให้ ณ ปัจจุบันนี้ Edward Gal มีม้า Grand Prix ในมือทั้งหมดสามตัวคือ Blue Hors Romanov, Sisther de Jeu และ Interfloor Next One ที่ Gal หวังไว้ว่าจะ qualify ใน Olympic ทั้งหมด ส่วนม้าตัวอื่นๆที่กำลังจะขึ้นมาสู่ระดับ Grand Prix คือ Voice, IPS United และ Rubin Cortes รวมถึงม้าที่กำลังฝึกไว้อีกหลายตัว (ดูม้าทั้งหมดของ Edward Gal)

The Secrets behind Freestyle to Music
Weekend ที่จะถึงนี้ มีการแข่งขัน Dressage ที่ NESC (Nonthaburi Equestrian Sports Club) ที่ใช้เป็นสนามแรกในการเก็บคะแนนชิงแชมป์ประเทศไทยประจำปี 2012
ส่วนวิธีการเก็บคะแนนสะสมของปีนี้ต่างจากเมื่อปีที่แล้ว โดยจะมีการแข่งขันทั้ง dressage แบบปกติ และแบบ freestyle to music แล้วจึงนำผลคะแนนของทั้งสองการแข่งขันมารวมกันหาเป็นค่าเฉลี่ยเพื่อจัดอันดับผู้ชนะในแต่ละสนาม
เอาละสิ! แค่จำ test ปกติก็จะปวดหัวตายอยู่แล้ว ต้องมาทำเพลงกับคิดท่าเองอีก แล้วจะไหวไม๊เนี่ย!!
ทำไมต้องมี freestyle to music ด้วย?
นี่เป็นตัวอย่างคำถามที่น้องๆถามกันเข้ามาหลายคน วันนี้เลยถือโอกาสมาตอบคำถามของน้องๆ และแนะนำเคล็ดลับในการทำ freestyle to music กันด้วย รวมถึงนำบทความที่ Hans Staub เคยพูดถึงเทคนิคการทำ Freestyle ไว้ใน Dressage Forum ปี 2009 มาให้อ่านกันอีกครั้งครับ
Freestyle to Music มีความสำคัญอย่างไร?
การแข่งขัน Dressage 'Freestyle to Music' มีไว้เพื่อให้นักกีฬาและม้าได้โชว์ความสามารถและความคิดสร้างสรรค์อย่างเต็มที่ ในขณะที่ผู้ชมก็สามารถเพลิดเพลินและสนุกไปกับการแข่งขันได้เสมือนได้ดูโชว์ๆหนึ่ง ทุกวันนี้ในการแข่งขัน dressage ระดับนานาชาติ จะมีการแข่ง freestyle เพื่อใช้เป็นตัวตัดสินผู้ชนะอยู่แล้ว เพราะฉะนั้นเราจึงควรฝึกทำ freestyle ให้เกิดความคุ้นเคยกันตั้งแต่ระดับต้นๆครับ
เคล็ด(ไม่)ลับในการทำคะแนนให้ได้สูงๆจากการแข่งขัน Freestyle
1. เราต้องจำไว้อย่างหนึ่งว่า Freestyle คือ Dressage “to” music ไม่ใช่ Dressage “with” music
- หมายความว่า เพลงที่ใช้ต้องมีการ'ออกแบบ' โดยตัดต่อให้เข้ากับท่าทางและจังหวะ ยิ่งเข้ากันมากเท่าไหร่คะแนนก็จะยิ่งสูง
- ควรหลีกเลี่ยงการเอา test ปกติมาใส่เพลงเข้าไปเฉยๆ เพราะกรรมการคาดหวังที่จะเห็นความคิดสร้างสรรค์ และท่าทาง (movement) ที่ยากกว่า test ปกติ
- ไม่ควรแค่เอาเพลงมาเปิดคลอเฉยๆโดยไม่ตัดต่อให้เข้ากับจังหวะและท่าทาง
2. ใช้พื้นที่ในสนามให้เต็มที่ และลองทำท่าต่างๆบน quarter line กับ center line
3. ควรซ้อมหลายๆรอบจนจำท่าทางและจังหวะดนตรีได้ขึ้นใจ
4. หลีกเลี่ยงท่ายากที่ยังทำไม่ได้ ควรทำท่าที่ง่ายและมีความมั่นใจ
5. ใช้เพลงที่สนุกสนาน ฟังแล้วคล้อยตามไปกับการขี่ได้

The Making of Freestyle Music of Steffen Peters and Ravel
After the Freestyle performance at Aachen 2011, many dressages media agreed that the U.S.-rider, Steffen Peters and Ravel were the real winner at the Show. We found this interesting article from Dressage-News where they takes us to see how the music was composed in combination of the orchestra, singers and a choir. And surprisingly, the freestyle music was based on the AVATAR movie!

Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival won the Grand Prix at the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage final in Leipzig, Germany

ก่อนหน้านี้ในการแข่งขันปีที่แล้ว Adelinde Cornelissen กับ Parzival สามารถคว้าอันดับที่ 2 ในรายการเดียวกันมาได้ รองจาก Edward Gal กับ Totilas ที่ได้อันดับที่ 1 ส่วนการแข่งขัน Grand Prix ในปีนี้ Edward Gal แชมป์เก่าปีที่แล้ว กับม้าตัวใหม่ Sisher de Jeu ทำได้ไม่ดีนัก และหล่นไปอยู่ในอันดับที่ 8

คนที่ติดตาม HMT มาตลอด คงเคยได้ยินได้ฟังเพลงที่ Adelinde ใช้ใน Freestyle Dressage ของเธอมาบ้างแล้ว (ใครยังไม่เห็น ดูได้ที่ลิงค์ข้างล่างนะครับ) วันนี้ผมนำ clip ที่ Adelinde กับทีม Music composer ของเธอกำลังทำเพลงเพื่อให้ลงจังหวะการเต้นรำของม้าของเธอ แล้วมาดูกันครับว่า เจ้า Parzival จะมีความเห็นว่าอย่างไรเมื่อได้ยินเพลงนี้??
