Mr. Eunchul Shin KEF President elected as the new President of Asian Equestrian Federation

Congratulations to Mr. Eunchul Shin who was elected as the new President of Asian Equestrian Federation during the AEF General Assembly on 28th May 2013 in Seoul, South Korea. 

Mr. Eunchul Shin also serves as the President of Korean Equestrian Federation  (since June 2012) and also the CEO & Vice Chairman of Korea Life Insurance. Mr. Shin Graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies with a degree in German.

The Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF) first came into being in 1978, and was recognised by the FEI as a body which would promote and ensure the growth of equestrian sports in the Asian region. The AEF statutes state that AEF shall provide all guidance and assistance to NF in the (Asian Games) organisation and all conduct of equestrian sports will be according to FEI Rules. Therefore, the Asian Games are subject to FEI rules as far as all for technical aspects are concerned, while the FEI ensures the technical control of all equestrian sports at the Asian Games.

The next and 17th edition of the Asian Games will take place in Incheon, South Korea from 20 September - 1 October 2014.

Tentative Schedule of the 17th Asian Games INCHEON 2014:
Dressage (20 - 24 September)
Eventing CCI* (24 - 27 September)
Jumping (28 September - 1 October)
