Greetings from Rio by Nina & the Ligon Family (15.11.11)

We spotted the two sisters Nisha and Nina Ligon on their feet at some strange places last week (via facebook).

My best guess?.... after the long hours in training, driving and competing, we believe Nina, Nisha and TEAM THAILAND (US-based) would probably go on vacation...

but where??

Somewhere that the buildings have bold colors?

Grilled chicken? with parsley and lime on the dish??

Some places with ceramic tiles?

The two sisters are just looking mysterious!!

Or some place with the view...

Here is Nina with her daddy, Austin Ligon.

on the sea side...?

Great to see them in normal outfits some times...both looking happy and relax.

After all the digging, we know what they are here for!! Thanks to our Spy in Rio...

The FEI Gala Dinner!!! :)

At the FEI Gala last night (14 Nov), Nina received the "2011 HSBC Rising Star" award for the FEI Awards event this year. Nina is standing next to Dressage Rider Adelinde Cornelissen from the Netherlands, who won the "2011 Reem Acra Best Athlete Award" in the award picture; to their left is FEI Director General Ingmar de Vos, and Soraya Ourrais, "Development Award" winner for the seven years she spent re-starting equestrian sports in Cambodia; to their right is Rodrigo Pessoa, Olympic Gold Medal and all-time champion show jumper, and Madame Alice Gaillard, winner of the "Best Groom" award for over 50 years service to the top eventers in France.  The others in picture are FEI officials.

With the FEI Rising Star Award, Nina is officially the Real Star!! :)
